David Dolber, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Recipient

David Dolber, a security police officer at Trinity Health Ann Arbor, served four years in the United States Navy. He was responsible for ship security aboard the USS Reeves (CG-24) and he was a Search and Rescue (SAR) Swimmer. He was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, for four years. He earned the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for two tours in the Persian Gulf during Operation Earnest Will.

When David returned home from the Navy, he had difficulty sleeping and trying to find employment. His friends and family helped ease the transition.

“Veterans are a unique population that, until recently, were either shunned or ignored,” said David. “Trinity Health’s MilVet program seems to be a positive step toward showing appreciation of the sacrifices made by veterans who are our patients.”
