He has wide ranging experience in management techniques for trauma, compressive neuropathies, nerve and tendon injuries, arthritis and fractures. Resident doctors from several hospital programs benefit from his teachings when they are on his service. Again, I am very impressed with Dr. H as from the first visit, he has taken the time to explain in detail the whole process of my care in healing my fracture.

I feel there is always room for learning,....the ONLY thing I would have appreciated is being shown the xrays by Dr. Hogikyan. It could be a physican preference scenario, however, Dr. Greene always had her laptop and always showed me my films (even comparison films as I healed). Dr. H didn't carry a laptop, so I understand again this may be his practice style, but at least offering it to patients/parents would be appreciated. Times have advanced and I feel its not uncommon for anyone to want to see this. Again, this isn't a complaint, just a learning suggestion since we all continue to learn regardless of our age, profession, etc. I also could have spoke up and asked, so it's not totally on Dr. H! I will do so at our revisit in 3 weeks for sure!

Dr. Hogikyan is very compassionate. Takes his time, explains everything and answers every question. He makes sure you understand the procedure, what caused the injury, and what recovery will be like. I wouldn't trust my hands with anyone else.

We talked about the possibility of surgery versus a steroid shot. Dr. Hogikyan understood that I was concerned about an upcoming breast biopsy and didn't want anything invasive until the possibility of cancer was addressed.
