About
Melanie A. Edwards, MD, FACS, is board-certified in thoracic surgery. Dr. Edwards earned her medical degree from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. She completed her general surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center through Harvard Medical School and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Saint Louis University. Furthermore, she completed a minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Edwards has clinical interests in minimally invasive thoracic surgery, lung cancer, esophageal cancer, surgery for benign esophageal disease and hyperhidrosis. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of several other professional organizations.
