Due to the ongoing federal government funding lapse, issuance of November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits are being withheld following guidance MDHHS received from USDA. To meet this additional demand, The Farm is working on ways to procure additional food for the pantry through bulk purchasing in coordination with our emergency food bank partners. Donations of funds are the most impactful way you can support our food pantry operations at this time.
Your support helps us grow a healthy community by expanding our ability to provide services to more people, regardless of economic resources.
Gifts of any size make a difference. Here is an idea of what your contribution can accomplish:
- $30 can buy a family in need one week of the Farm Share
- $120 can buy a family in need 4 weeks of the Farm Share
- $150 can cover the cost of busing students to the Farm for a field trip
- $250 can buy tools for our new farms at Trinity Health Oakland and Trinity Health Muskegon
- $1,050 can feed a family for 36 weeks
